G1 ga-z170mx gaming 5 vs G1 z97x gaming 5

Im building up a new gaming PC and i was wondering which one you guys would prefer?

And reasons why!!!
Yea the one is for mini but thats because im not sure to go with a smaller pc or? But the real question is which one u guys think are best and why!?

We need to look at the entire system. You're comparing Skylake mini-ITX and Haswell ATX boards here. Which processor would you use with each?

Its not a skylake mate im thinking of using i5 4690k and the micro-Atx and ITX are both 1150 sok

G1 GA-Z170MX Gaming 5 is a Skylake board. Hence the Z170 in the name.

Ahhh true my bad didnt see it ^^ well was thinkin of i5 6600k on the 170mx vs 4690k on the z97x

I think you're going about this the wrong way. First decide whether or not you want a Mini-ITX build. Then decide whether you want to do Skylake or Haswell. Lastly, decide which motherboard accommodates those decisions. Both of your current choices are excellent, I am a big fan of the gaming 5 lineup from Gigabyte.
