I'm having a bit of a problem deciding what motherboard to buy for the G3258. Because this is a recently released processor and most motherboards would need a bios update before being able to boot a pc with it. I want to ask you guys what mobos would support this chip out of the box with no bios updates needed. This is a big deal for me because I don't have anyone to borrow an old cpu from just to update the bios. I can't go with the Z boards because I'm on a tight budget. Let's say I can spend up to 75 - 80 dollars for the motherboard but nothing more than that. Thank you in advance.

FOr the budget OC High performance . Premium Unleaded only, Build. I would go with Most B85 Chipset Motherboards that came out during or after the release of the G3258. Since ,as you know the Frimware on almost any reputable MB manufacturer has added features such as changing the CPU Ratio/multiplier and some power tweaks as well. The Better the power design the better experience for overclocking short and long term. I have a few in mind , I will either edit this or post them post post....... ha.

Sorry, looks like i won't be updating soon. I had a nice little post ready to submit then as i hit back space to delete the one or two ill placed letters, The entire page went back. So that is now gone. Yeah. Ill get back to you later. sorry.

Thank you, i've been researching night and day but never stumbled upon that article.

Any mobo will work, just I would buy a $50ish mobo and get a i3 4160. I own a g3258 and it's not as powerful as you would think. 2 core and 2 threads wont last you long on new games. Just my opinion.
