low end gaming. modern games with 3d environments are 4 core optimized so dual cores struggle a lot.

so ill be OK with it (medium settings in most games) for lets say...a year and then update to i5, or?

strongly depends on the games you're playing. What do you play mostly.

RPGS, MMORPGS or RTS, no FPS - wow, lol, diablo, SC...

Sounds like a lot of the games you play are cpu heavy so I suggest a cpu upgrade asap if you can.
