Hi,
Well I got my G450 dh and installed it. It loaded and works smoother than my G400 did. The pic quality appears the same to me. I have a question though.....every few reboots, win98, the display has lost it's frequency settings and I need to go to computer properties and hit refresh. This has been going on for a month or so (the g400 first and now the g450). Windows has been reinstalled and there is no improvement. What causes this? could it be a power issue?

jn1,

Glad you got your G450 installed and working well. When you say 'refresh' are you referring to the vertical refresh rate? IE 60Hz, 75Hz, 85Hz, etc?? I can't think of any other frequencies relating to properties, but then I also cannot think of a refresh button under Windows properties (but maybe it's a G450 thing?). When you reinstalled Windows, can we assume that you then reinstalled your motherboard drivers, then the G450 drivers?

More info would be helpful! :)

Hey Aaron,
Yes I reinstalled themobo drivers (AMD irongate). The refresh is under computer>system>devicemanager, at the bottom is a refresh button. If I hit it, after soom time (10~20 sec)the screeen flashes and everything is as it should be. EXCEPT this morning, that didn't work and I had to go to the monitor properties>adapter and reset the refresh rate. any thoughts...do you need more info?

jn1,

I am by no means an expert on these sorts of things, and your problem is a bit out of my range of knowledge. :) I've never heard of this problem, it sounds very strange. I'd suggest posting your message again (with a little more detail as to your system configuration) at either or both of these places:

Good luck!
