G4560/SSD Vs i5 7400

I have a gtx 1050 ti, g4400 and mainly use my pc for gaming however I also do some photoshop and cad. I can afford either the g4560 with a SSD or an i5 7400. Which would be the most worthwhile upgrade?

i5 7500 would be my choice.

Both the G4560 and I5-7400 have 4 threads and a similar single thread passmark rating of 1955.
Single thread rating is usually most important for games.
Where the I5 shines is in apps where all 4 threads can be fully utilized.
That is more likely in your batch apps than for games.

I love a ssd for windows and would never want to be without one.
