Just installed. Up and running. The book is a little confusing. I'm using 2
WD Raptors. Don't know if it is better to use drives in raid mode or base
mode. I installed the OS using the SI3512 drivers not the SI3512R drivers.
In the bios integrated peripherals there is a choise for Raid or Base, it's
the ATA chip function. What's the difference?? Everything seems to be
working OK. Also all of the serial ATA functions and Raid functions are
enabled by default. Are they all being used??

To really make yourself happy you should set those RAPTORS up in RAID 0. You
will have to re-install the OS but it is worth every second of your time.
Don't forget to move the SATA drivers to a FDisk.

I fully agree. RAID 0 makes your system allot faster.
