Hi all im in the process of building a ryzen 5 system to replace a very old i5-2500k and am completly lost in terms of m2 drives as ive never used one and only 1 of my friends has a system with one which is a intel i7 based build (and thats before i get to the minefield that seems to be memory).
What im looking at at the moment is the following bits.....
Ryzen 5 1600
GA-AX370-Gameing K3
Samsung 500GB 960 Evo PCIe SSD as the boot drive (i already have this drive as a gift)
I also need support for the following.....
3x SATA 3 hard drives (one is a ssd)
2x SATA optical drives (altho i can get away with just one at this point)
2x Inernal USB3 headers (1 for the case USB3 ports and the other for a memory card reader)
3x fan headers
I know the board only has 2 fan headers where as i need 3 as the case fans that type of connector but i can use a splitter for the 2 front fans, ive also downloaded what passes for the manual from the gigabyte website and to be honist it doesnt clear anything up for me at all.
so my question is simple will my m2 drive work with this motherboard and will it be bootable (win10 64bit)?
