Hello! A good day! Please help me!I want to increase the working speed of my PC.For this I bought SSD to install the operating system on it and adapter. Is it possible to use this SSD for the OS?
https://www.emag.ro/solid-state-dri...KMBM/?ref=history-shopping_3113877086_1_1with this adapter
https://www.emag.ro/adaptor-pci-exp...MLDMBM/?ref=history-shopping_3113877086_1_2on the video card portPCI-E x16 slots 1
from my motherboard
https://www.emag.ro/placa-de-baza-gigabyte-socket-1155-b75m-d2v/pd/D6JZJBBBM/I haven't succeeded so far.
Is this SSD supported for the operating system, additional settings are required in the BIOS to be recognized and install the operating system on it, or this SSD is not recognized, whatever settings I would try, or what similar SSD or what other type and model of SSD is it compatible with my motherboard? Please help me in detail as soon as possible, preferably by March 27, 2024.Thank you very much! All the best!

Agree with the above.
On that motherboard, 2.5" SATA SSD is what you want.

An NVMe drive like your linked Samsung 980 is a total waste of money. And it is unlikely to work as the OS drive.

Although I never attempted installation with the X16 adapter you have linked, I simply used an M.2 NVME SSD to PCIE X1 Adapter Card found on Amazon. The SSD I use with that is a - Kingston KC3000 M.2 NVMe SSD Gen4 1024GB.

As a data disk that could work but would be no faster than a SATA SSD since the X1 interface is the limitation.
