[SOLVED] GA-H61MA-D3V (rev. 2.1) not accepting keyboard input on bios start up screen

hi all, so i had some issues with a h61m motherboard, for some reason it would just not post with a 3570k or 3770 even after bios update, it would post with a an i3 2100 and run windows fine with that.

so i figured something must be wrong with the motherboard, surely both of these cpus cant be bad.

So i got a cheap GA-H61MA-D3V (rev. 2.1) motherboard, it gets to the bios start up page but now wont respond to keyboard input.

Things i have tried:
remove ssd and hdd
reset cmos
remove gpu
ps2 keyboard

is there anything im missing? any tips on how to get this to respond?

Get a pci express usb card. It may fix your problem
