I'm going to put 2 WD Raptor HD's on one or the other SATA RAID
arrays. I have not been able to find anything on the difference
between the two. Cnn someone enlighten me please.

My guess is that there is no difference performance wise in a RAID 0
configuration.
The connectors at the lower edge of the board make for a some what neater
board and out -of -the -way cables.
