Galaxy Core Prime phone: Samsung Keyboard?

I have a android cell phone & it is a bit sensitive... How can I just make it type 1 character per key? The keys have 2 on each & sometimes I hit a key to long, then the letter becomes a number...

you could try using another free keyboard app like swiftkey
