so i recently bought all my computer parts
Galax 750 TI
Coolermaster b600
Gigabyte H110M-S2H
ripjaws 8G ram stick
Intel i5 6500

pluged everything in ( not my first time i built a pc ) tested the computer without the GPU at first, everything was fine switched it off waited a bit then plugged the GPU in soon as i powered on the gpu sparked a small flame (match stick like) i instantly powered it off. at first i thought it might have been the psu but i tested the same parts with my brothers r9 380 and everything worked. so i sent a email to galax about an rma waited two and a half weeks no reply? are they slow to answer or did they just ignore my rma request since i am in Australia?

The fire damage is a small black chip towards the corner you can see it in the link

Where did you purchase it from?

If it's a genuinely faulty card and not installation error the retailer who sold it to you can handle the claim for you. If you wanted to you could go in to the shop and request a replacement unit because it's faulty and they legally have to oblige. Whether or not they actually replace it is another matter because component shops aren't renowned for their customer service.

Alright galax responded "The issue may occur due to unstable power supply.
Would you please contact your shop of purchase for RA service"

which i doubt since the power supply working fine for the past week with my r9 380 and the rest of the new parts but i took it back to the shop, just waiting for them to send it to them and for them to determine if it was the gpu i guess.

have a feeling they will just reject it and blame the other components.

Yes, that is often the case. I run into that all the time when programs break. Like when an update to Silverlight broke Netflix. Netlix said it was issue with Silverlight, MS said it was issue with Netflix, all were just giving out useless suggestions to waste time till they fixed it, reboot, re-install Windows, try a different browser. My phone stopped updating emails once after an Android update. Who fixed that? No-one, Google was saying it was the email service providers fault (even though it was working pre-Android update), email service provider could not find anything wrong. Solution was to use a 3rd party email client on the phone. Very rarely do I see a situation when there are two companies that rely on the other when you will see a clear fault for one of them they admit to.
