Okay, that's just silly. My SGT is 7'' (which is not an issue, just PITA to carry because not all of my pants have such huge pockets) and I wanted a Note because 5'' is a perfect balance between usability and mobility... but 6.3''? Then I'd rather keep the SGT...

who said it had to be proportionally relative with the width of the note.Look at iCrap5. They could also be increasing the length of the phone with near zero bezel. Zero bezel is now possible FYI.

Old eyes, big hands....gimme a Note 3. I can easily palm an iPad Mini and joke around with my bud how it would make a great phone. Seriously....gimme the big screen.

Even at 6.3 inches it'd sell like hotcakes. There's enough people like me who talk less and do more on their phones that'll love having a mini-tablet. It should still fit in your back jeans pocket...don't think too many people are gonna forget and sit on it. :heink:

I dont understand the "its too huge" or its getting silly comments, this is a hybrid device.. a tablet that is smaller and has a full phone function.. if you guys want a small sized phone the IP4s is there to do that or the Galaxy S2/S3. Even until now the S2 is a pretty capable device that runs circles around the IP4/IP5.

As a phone, the note phones are a bit large, but for everything else (texting, surfing, etc) it a great size. Wife (5' nothing) loves here Note II. Looks silly when she's taking a phone call (less than 10% of it's use), but for everything else she does with it, it's perfect.

Do for an upgrade in May, can't wait for the Galaxy 4 or Note III.

This new phone is too large to fit in your pocket, so it comes with a holder that is worn as a hat. You'll look like a recent HS or college graduate. Everyone will make the connection and comment on how smart you look.

And Apple still stuck with a tiny screen! More and more friends are saying "I'm getting an Android next, the screen is so much better". Ok, iOS has the best software, but Android is catching up. Google just need to get the hardware guys to fix their drivers and Apple will be sunk.

[citation][nom]GhosT94[/nom]5.5 inches was already big but ok , but 6.3 inches is ridiculous[/citation]
That's what the girls say to me. 😉

This is how I feel about the situation......... Remember the 900mhz and 2.4ghz cordless phones....... a 6.3 inch phone is not "huge" realistically speaking, it is really small.

On that same note..... How is anyone going to fit a 6.3inch phone in their pocket?

One a second note....... You know the gov wants to do away with cell phones and just implant chips under your skin so that they can track everything you do and you can make calls without having a physical phone.... the phone is implanted in your body and the tech to make a phone that small is already out there.

I remember when phones were tiny. My friend used to have one of those phones that was like 2 inches tall and half an inch wide. BAM. Galaxy Note.

[citation][nom]obsama1[/nom]The Note II is on the threshold of pocket-able. 6.3" is just insane. No pants can hold it, and unless you can palm a basketball, it will be impossible to hold, much less use, with one hand.[/citation]

people can hold the ipad mini with one hand...i think they can hold a 6.3" phone in one hand too.

Whether or note a phone fits in my front pants pocket is not a consideration. They make cases with belt clips and when I am casually dressed in jeans I also have the option of putting the device in my back pocket temporarily. ...but it seems like the phone would get lint all over it if put it in your pocket regularly.

The biggest important with the Samsung Galaxy line with the Note II is battery life. Finally I am able to use it throughout the day making calls, doing some stuff on the net, e-mails and facebook and still have ample battery life for the next day.

5.5" screen for me is perfect. It barely fits in my pocket long as I don't sit down. 6.3" Damn. I will need a lanyard around my neck just to carry it.

similar size to Wii U's gamepad which is 6.2 inches, which I think is pretty good for gaming on the screen, not too big and not too small. maybe they liked what they saw but could be a coincidence.

Ive been using the original note since february and love the real estate for my purposes. Its a mini tablet that fits in my back pocket easily. As long as you know your not buying a phone and dont have the expectation of a simple one hand usethen your fine. For me difficult one hand holding and texting even with keyboard shift on. The first 6 months was great but since then i must have jacked up the os with malware or lack memory cause this pos is laggy and apps shut down. I tried to optimize by turning off animations etc. My friend told me this wouldhappen just give it enough time, i didnt believe him but here i stand cussing this os wanting my wifes ios. Im about to break this bitch as we speak because i cant type as well b/c unforced errors vs the ease of ios. Then the keys lag, omg! Im not even trying to fix typos cause the friggin cursor is sluggish!
