Galaxy Note Pro 12.2"?

I just wanted to know if it's still worth getting a Galaxy Note Pro 12.2". The tablet was released in early 2014, but I can't seem to find any info on an upcoming or latest model. I need a tablet for viewing my pdf textbooks/lectures for school, and for media/entertainment. The note features look useful, but I don't know if it's worth the $550 for a 2 year old tablet. Please let me know what you guys think?
