Galaxy S5 Spare Battery Charger

Hello I own a Galaxy S5 and it is by far one of the best phones I've owned and has a decent battery life for what it can do. Unfortunately, batteries do run out and I was wondering whether a spare battery charger from Samsung was worth it. I would plan on using it either to get a faster charge on one battery or have it always plugged in and just switch the dead battery for a fresh one when I'm in a hurry. Would it Charge the battery faster if it was out of the phone and would keeping a battery in the charger for long periods of time diminish its life in any way (Its ok if i have to charge cycle them occasionally as long as I'm not doing any permanent damage)?

They make a spare battery charger for the S5. Then you can just swap out the batteries to have one at the ready.

Li-ion batteries like to be charged, and it will be less damaging to charge them, than to have them constantly running out which is when the damage occurs.
