Game EXE not opening.

I'v been trying to download and play a game called Call Of Duty Online: My downloads go perfectly and nothing seems to be wrong. But when I try and open the .exe file nothing happens. Is it possible that you are running a x86 version of windows and downloading the x64 version of the game? That will definitely not work as the x64 is much larger than a x86 version of windows can handle.

Sounds like a virus and opening that file just silently installs a virus. It's only 10 MB and call of duty online does not exist

Only reason Im sure its not a Virus is because I have played this and installed it on other systems with my friends, but it seems to be giving me issues.

Is it possible that you are running a x86 version of windows and downloading the x64 version of the game? That will definitely not work as the x64 is much larger than a x86 version of windows can handle.

Ok now help me out a bit, I'm not quite sure what you mean, Are you talking about 64 bit and 32 bit?

yes, also are you downloading the mac or pc version and installing on the opposite platform?

My computer is 64 bit, And now that you mention I dont think there is a 64 bit version of it, is there anyway I can run a 32 bit program anyway? (No its for Windows, im using windows)

32 bit should automatically run on a 64 bit system. Try running the .exe as an administrator.

I have tried running as an Administrator, To my limited knowledge i'v run it in every possible way.

Is it within a .zip file? most .exe file won't work properly if they came in a .zip and you haven't unzipped the folder to the proper location.

It started in a .rar then i extracted it to a designated place

Im not 100% sure. All i know is that the other computer was 32 bit. Also i built my computer. Could there be anything im missing without microsoft defaults. (Im on windows 8 btw).

I can't think of anything unless that program just does not like 64 bit systems for some reason. Try running the compatibility options on it. An option should pop up for that if you right click the .exe.

Np, it's probably something wrong with the .exe itself and not the system too.

Potentially, if your version of Windows supports region packs, although I imagine the game is Chinese. It could also be region locked and not supported in the US, but I assume you'd get a warning.

It might have minimum requirements, software wise, but I can't read the page at all.

I'd honestly be incredible cautious downloading anything from China. It could very well be a backdoor into your computer.
