Hello, I have been suffering the consequences after updating my laptop's BIOS not expecting what was coming. After my laptop [Lenovo Legion Y520-15IKBN] rebooted, I opened up vrchat with my Samsung Odyssey and there were lag stutters every 4-6 seconds during gameplay, it was extremely annoying and ive reset my laptop, did a fresh start, and even enabled back flash to the bios but it just felt the same. If anybody has had this issue and found a solution please reply.

Lenovo Legion Y520-15IKBN-80WK001KUS (Legion Y520 Series)
Processor Intel Core i7-7700HQ 4 x 2.8 - 3.8 GHz, Kaby Lake
Graphics adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mobile - 4096 MB, Core: 1493 - 1620 MHz, Memory: 1752 MHz, GDDR5, 21.21.13.7350 (ForceWare 373.50), yes
Memory 16384 MB DDR4-2400
Display 15.6 inch 16:9, 1920 x 1080 pixel 141 PPI, no, LP156WF6-SPK3, IPS, glossy: no
Mainboard Intel Sunrise Point, Intel Kaby Lake-H
Storage Samsung PM961 MZVLW256HEHP, 256 GB

That memory is at 2400MHz. If this RAM default speed is 2400MHz which is the default speed for some DDR4 instead of 2133MHz you won't be able to find a XMP profile for the RAM.

After the BIOS update did you load the "BIOS default settings"?

You can "load default settings" in the BIOS and restart to see if it fix the issue.

You could try clearing CMOS. That would require you to open the laptop and remove the motherboard battery while the laptop battery is removed and the laptop unplugged. Don't do that if you're under warranty.

You could call the place where you bought the laptop or lenovo directly? No idea. Are you still under warranty?
