Game Saves From NAS?

I want to build a server with NAS on it. Now, I want to save all my games to the NAS. To be clear, the game itself would be on an individual machine, the game save would be on NAS. Is this as simple as saving to the NAS? I.e., instead of saving to C:\Games, saving to Z:\Games?

Many games defaults to the "user profile\My Documents\Game" directory on the C drive. It is hard coded within the game itself. Typically only older games may allow you to choose where to save the game to. Typically for older games the save directory is where they game was installed to.
