Gameplay stutter and mili second freezes

Hi guys so i have this problem with stuttery not smooth gameplay in games like fortnite and overwatch, could this be a bottleneck? I get like microstutter and 1mili second freezes you guys have any advice for me please? i tried everything

My setup
I5 3330 3ghz
Gtx970 4g twinfrozr
16gb corsair veng 2000mhz
144hz asus monitor
120g SSD

Are you monitoring CPU/GPU/RAM utilization? Are you monitoring temps?

I will do that and let you know results asap. Temps are fine though 80° on overwatch

You probably have your 2000MHz memory incorrectly configured. Running on [Auto] configurations may give you a 1333MHZ speed with very loose timings.

Thanks calvin will check that aswell forgot to mention i have a gigabit network card installed due to a dead ethernet port could this be causing problems?

Thanks! that Fixed the Micro stutter now i just need to figure out what is causing the every few minute screen freeze for 1 milisecond
