Hi,im facing problems in installing games on my pc.The problem is that the game reach some where in installation and then stop and a box pop up saying "error transferring data(cyclic redundancy check),but other games are installed without any problem. Also when i try to play AC unity and whenever the save icon apear the game freeze. Is there any relation of all that with the hard disk since it has been for 6 years.THANKS

Solution
Yes both of them are interconnected, A cyclic redundancy check (CRC) is an error-detecting code commonly used in digital networks and storage devices to detect accidental changes to raw data. Blocks of data entering these systems get a short check value attached, based on the remainder of a polynomial division of their contents.
Sounds like you have got a bad hard disk , does it make any clicking sounds?
I would buy a nice Hybrid Disk for gaming purposes, and if you could go with 320GB SSD , nothing could be much better

Sounds like the hard disk might be unhappy. You could try running Crystal Disk Info (http://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskInfo/index-e.html), which will read the SMART info for the drive - it'll give a traffic light-style indication of drive health (although drives do ocassionally fail without reporting problems first). Even if the drive's not failing, make sure you've got a backup of your data ... 😉
