I bought a R9 290 yesterday.
I was unable to play any games which put a load on the card because the game will crash (rather quickly).
I did a fresh install of windoes to make sure it wasn't a driver problem.
I have now discovered that this card only works stable once I have reduced the clock rate by about 300ms. (740 as opposed to 1040) this just doesn't really seem right
I have a thermaltake power supply of 850 watts, and it used to run 2x 6950's in SLI. my old cards required 2x 75 watt 6 pins and the 290 requires a 75w 6 pin and a 150w 8 pin.
Help! I haven't seen an issue like this before, and i'm confused as to whether it's my card being faulty, or some other problem.
Thanks in advance
