I've been using a laptop for around a year. but recently, when I play games that usually runs smoothly, like CS:GO, which runs 120fps on low, suddenly dropped to 20fps after a few min of playing it.

I recently cleaned my laptop as well so overheating is not the problem. Anybody know what the actual problem is and how to fix it?

Having the same problem, running an i5 4590, EVGA GeForce GTX 750ti, and a Thermaltake 430W PSU. Bought the i5 over my old Pentium G3220 and that increased my computers speed in everyday tasks but my FPS is still down dramatically in like CSGO or H1Z1. Could it be my PSU, but IDK because I have been using my PSU for months with my old CPU and I got 100+ FPS now I get >60 FPS. HELP!

Unfortunately I am not familiar with desktops so I am not the best person as they work differently as the parts can be swapped out more easily. Maybe someone with more experience can help you.

its probably a virus, the same thing has happened to me before, do full virus scans and registry scans. Use ad aware windows defender and then another random anti virus to make sure its gone

Been having the same problem for about a month now, no idea what it is. I have done full system scans with MYAntivirus software and no threats were detected, but how do I do registry scans?

http://www.lavasoft.com/products/lavasoft_registry_tuner.php is a good registery tuner that i use. alot of times pop up ads that randomly open web pages hide in registery, just click the "free trial" button. It could be a defective part but i doubt it
