When playing most of my games they eventauly lock up, however ctrl+alt+del and then just clicking cancel makes it jolt back into action. What conclusion can you daw from this??

Specs-
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 OC'd 3.42Ghz.
XFX 780i Motherboard.
Kingston HyperX RAM 1066Mhz.
Zotac GTX260 216 Edition.
Corsair 450W VX Power Supply.
Western Digital Blue 320GB Hard Drive.
Antec 900 Gamers Case.
Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7.
DVD/R Drive.

Prime95 Stable and temps are fine on everything.

Any help would be nice.

the reason this happens is because of your psu. when you press control alt delete you exit the game window, reducing psu and cpu load, which drops the load on your psu. i say get a good 500 watt psu. also, what are your load temps for your cpu?

70C Max under prime but dont go above 58C when gaming. And i have always wondered if my PSU was enough, i used some website to calculate what i would need and 450W was enough, must not be accurate.

Using "Some Website" can be useful as a guide, but it's no substitute for RTFM. I don't have a manual on hand, but some of the hits on a "geforce gtx 260 power requirements" google search mention a minimum PSU rating of 500 wats, with 35~36A on the 12v rail.

It's next on my list then lol, thanks.
