Question Games going into slow motion

Their has been a thing with newer games on my laptop where if built around mid 2018 and onwards most of them run in like slow-motion whereas other games published just a year before do not !! This is incredibly frustrating as I could one game at like 50+ fps and the other with unnoticeable graphical differences as the former one runs in slow motion (not even laggy, just at like 0.25x the speed).

I feel there is something going wrong with how that game is built to perform on hardware with lower VRAM, as the graphical rendering is certainly NOT the problem. I'll give an example, just look at WWE 2K18 and WWE 2K19 on the PC, absolutely no difference in terms of graphics or API (both run on DX11), but whereas WWE 2K18 runs great on my laptop, WWE 2K19 for some goddamn reason decides to 0.25x itself. Everything's fine up to the menu and wrestler selection, but right as I load into the game it runs in actual slow-motion and is really unplayable. How come two almost identical games perform so different on the same hardware ??

Some real technical help is really needed for this problem as I have tried every average gamer "tricks" like tweaking the config files or lowering graphical resolution and turning off other stuff but to no avail. I am using Intel graphics if that helps (Although probably not because WWE 2K18 has no problem with it).

Well, after looking at the sys reqs for both WWE 2K18 and WWE 2K19, they both show the same amount of VRAM required.

However they DO both say up to W10 on OS, with no mention of W11 support. So is your laptop running W11 by any chance?

You really should list full spec on any questions about game performance (even if on a laptop), including the OS you are running.

That said, it could just be WWE 2K19 is not as well optimized for onboard laptop graphics. https://steamcommunity.com/app/817130/discussions/0/3397295779075770082/

There are also lots of links showing fixes for slo mo performance issues in WWE 2K19, but they seem to be geared toward those with Nvidia or AMD graphics.

Like I said, you need to mention more specifics on your laptop spec, at the very least the exact model of built-in Intel graphics. Even the 13th gen Intel Iris XE graphics are quite a bit lower in performance than the min req GPU for WWE2K19 though. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-670-vs-Intel-Iris-Xe/2181vsm1268515
