Games lagging on my GTX 970M

Hi. I just bought msi laptop ( gt 72 2QD). It has a 5700HQ proc (5th gen -i7), 8 gb ddr3l ram and gtx 970M 3gb gpu. i ve installed games such as fifa 14 etc but these games lag. I compared GTX 970M with my old gpu (amd 6950) on game-debate and gpu boss before buying this laptop. These websites stated that gtx970m is 71%better than hd6950 (desktop gpu). I used to play fifa 14 and fifa 15 on hd 6950 but it didnt use to lag. is there any solution for running games smoothly? Should i install a SSD DRIVE or increase my RAM size for it ? or is there any other seting ? This is my first gaming laptop so pls help me.

First: Remember that the GTX 970M is worst than the GTX 970.

Second: 8GB RAM is fine for Gaming.Try to OverClock your CPU.

Third: FIFA is not well optimized for Computer. And the requirements are BS.

The temp is usually 49 degree celcius .One thing I figured out that when I play fifa 14 not in fullscreen (i.e in windowed) the game runs pretty smooth. I also installed Fraps software it shows 60 fps in both fullscreen and windowed. But the game lags in fullscreen mode. Can u figure out what wierd problem I m being facing? I hope u got my question

What is the power profile for both the nividia card and the battery. Also what settings do you play your games at? Have you downloaded all the latest drivers for your laptop?

Try to disable Windows Aero when you play FIFA 14 in full screen, you have that option in FIFA settings at bottom.

Ok, I had Played FIFA 14 in 4K resolution with my Laptop without Lagging at all with average FPS of 48 frames per second

So, as for ur case, try to Re-Install All Drivers according to the sequences that is set by MSI...
Then, ur issue shall be fixed...
