Games Not Launching When Copying "DXGI.DLL" into game's root folder. Please help.

lets just talk about a problem that I am facing right now. After copying all files of an enb series into Mafia 2 folder.... I tried to launch the game....but nothing happens and the process of Mafia 2 in task manager also disappears..... But when i delete the file dxgi.dll from the root folder the game starts to work but enb doesnt have any effect now(cause i deleted dxgi.dll which came with enb). Any solutions??

purchased the DVD. yes i am trying to install ENB

I would start by conirming the versions the modeis intended for and your game version. Usually mods aren't too hard to get installed, but the dll may be fora lower or higher version of the game than you have installed. This might explain the issues yousare having and is a good searting point to investigate.

So, with that said, the link you gave me is invalid. Can you link to the page containing the mod description or the tool description? Further, seeing as you know your game version, you can probably just look yourself and find what version ERB says it's compatible with.

Judging by the version number, I would guess your game is totally unpatched, or a fresh install. You probably are installing a version of ERB that's intended for an updated version of the game. I would wait to check what is available first, but once you have that you should probably head to the publisher's website and see if there (or google) are any patches available for Mafia II that can be installed.

Edit: There were steam updates released for the game, which suggests it would have updates. I am, however, unable to find a patch on 2K's website.
