Games running EXTREMELY Slow

In my laptop games were running smoothly but recently all games are running on low fps . I tried updating drivers but it's still not working . Games like gta 5 were running smoothly but now even games with very low graphic quality would run on 5-10 fps .

My specs -
8gb ram
Nvidia geforce 920m
Intel i5 5th generation
Windows 10 64bits

Don't think you should have much issues with those specs. Are there any background applications hogging up memory/cpu?

Is Windows set to high performance and not Power Saving or Balanced?
