ok ive been having the problem of games crashing to desktop for a while now. i have recently installed windows 7 to see if it was a software issue (clean formatting of my HD ect to see if that helped) no luck there. I had the CTD problems in XP also.
tried other Ram from a friends computer which didnt help.
the games in question are:
Portal 2
Magicka
Assassins Creed Brotherhood
The Last Remnant
Dead Space 2

previously in XP i suffered from a few BSOD's straight from the games. the 3 error codes i recieved were
Attempt to execute non-executable memory
NTFS.sys - page fault in non paged area
Driver IRQL not less or equal
as yet i havent BSOD in windows 7 though.
finally a DXdiag in the hope it helps.
