For people using steam i would like you to try launching offline mode for steam. Then try playing your game just worked for me the bad news is i dont know how to run the game in the online mode. Complete and utterly amazed. Hopefully for all you steam users this helps. Now after you launch your game in offline go back online and it should work. mine did dont know why but i hope this helps someone

Windows 8 and 8.1 are not build to play or run games properly. I have been installing many computers with windows 8 and 8.1. I can confirm that many games will not run properly or not at all. There were moments where Windows 8.1 simply wont allow you to go to desktop. I had to bring down task manager to allow me to go to desktop.

The animals in Microsoft have created windows 8 and 8.1 for touch screens and have ruined the desktop version.

I am not sure about Windows 10. I think it is still under development.

Why would you want to go to windows 8 or 8.1? No advantage at all. Some people say it is faster than windows 7. That is not true. Windows 8 or 8.1 has many drivers that will be used to complete the installation. Windows 7 does not. Install all compatible drivers for Windows 7 and you see there is no difference at all.

People with touch screen laptops can use Windows 8/8.1 those who play games should stay with Windows 7 or if their hardware supports 10 go to 10 in a year or so.

Hi everyone I had the same problem but a friend of mine told me to go to my windows updates and look for the update KB3086255 and delete it and reinstall all games and problem were solved...

My opinion is to upgrade in windows 10.I had the same problem with a lot of games and now my PC play all the games very good and fast.
