Hey guys.

So basically these are the two builds im looking at but I'm not sure which processor really fits my needs best (I'm a noob you need to dumb it down for me because I really dont know the differences between them besides cores and I barley know what they do.)

So What I'm going to be doing is gaming and streaming.

I'm going to be playing games like: Arma 3, CS, H1Z1, BattleField, Overwatch, League of Legends, Rainbow 6 siege, DayZ and much more.

I do minor video editing (mainly because I suck at it) but I'm sure once i get better I'm going to be doing it a lot on a better program.

I basically just want to be able to stream any game I want with at least 1920x1080 in game resolutions and stream at 1080p or 720p with 60fps without a problem.

Can someone please choose a build for me and explain why you picked that processor? The rest of the parts I'm getting 100% but It all just depends on processor/mobo.

And does anyone have the Maximus Viii Formula? is it good/worth buying? (mainly chose it because of the aesthetics)

Thanks a lot guys.

If I were to go with the 6800k couldn't I overclock right away to make it 4.0ghz to make it the same if not better than the 6700k or no? Like I said I'm a noob so please explain

You can get away with either tbh. Obviously, the 6800k will provide a little bit better playability and service for multitasking, and is kinda what that chip is for.

During the actual video editing, you wont need the 6800k, but it will speed up rendering times.

The maximus is NOT a good buy, and is far above what your needs are. If you just have a bunch of money to blow, sure fine, but you can literally cut that price in half, and get a top quality board.

Given your budget and uses, the 6800k is clearly the superior choice, and most likely what you should get. Keep an eye out for some black friday deals, and you can probably cut a couple hundred bucks or step into a nicer case.
