Hi im planning to build a PC gaming at 1080p/60hz. Still undecided for the GPU waiting for aftermarket RX480

See below ( pricing is based on actual here in PH)

CPU: Intel i5 6600k = $251
MOBO: MSI Z170A M3 = $195
HDD: WD 1TB BLUE = $51
SSD: Samsung 120GB 850evo = $67
MEMORY: Ripjaws V (2x8gb) =$78
PSU: FSP AURUM 600 80+ gold = $92
CASE : Aerocool 1000 = $70
FAN : CM Hyper 212x = $38

Monitor : Benq RL2455HM = $187

GPU: MSI GTX 1060 GX 6GB = $354
Asus RX480 8GB (ref.c) = $351

Will this do or 1070 is overkill ?

Let me know your thoughts and recommendations.

Thank you

The GTX 1070 wouldn't be overkill, but probably unnecessary for 60HZ/1080p. It would however, allow for a faster monitor upgrade in the future.
But to answer the 1060/480 question is a bit more complicated. AMD has a better handle on DX12 from the reports I've seen. But as far as pure performance the 1060 is better depending on the game. Here is a comparison video of several games at 1080p/60 Hz that explains what I mean. Keep an eye on the right-hand graph (frame times) as well as pure FPS in the left-hand graph, and listen to the narrator: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVM0Nb5crMM

I've made up my mind i'll go for msi gtx1060 gaming x. 1 factor also the rx480 here is way over priced.

One more thing with my monitor do you think i can get over 60pfs ?

If you are gaming on a monitor with a 60 Hz vert. refresh rate, 60 fps is the max you will see... even if the GPU can produce more. That is why I said it wouldn't be overkill, but maybe more than needed since you are using a 60 Hz display.
