[SOLVED] gaming build for son

Solution
Need better quality PSU, besides that the build looks fine although you could probably do better with AMD Ryzen.

This is my recommendation.

Thanks for the reply. I believe his plan is to get the most bang for buck for $1000, that needs to have a monitor in that price also.

If you were going to tweak this build can you drop a few links for me, I have no idea where to even start.

Thanks,

Are you near a Microcenter or Fry's? You can usually get $30 off with a CPU/MB bundle.

As for tweaking the list just hit edit then you can change the parts.

I edited the above list for the monitor as well, also put in a better PSU. I left roughly $100 free for the OS as your kid probably doesn't want to see the watermark while gaming.

For first person shooters such as those games 1080P/144hz would work well and the monitor is Freesync so it will work with that GPU as long as you use a Displayport cable and follow these directions.
