Gaming head set

I need a gaming headset for around 100. Needs to be surround sound and Doesn't HAVE to have a mic, but preferably yes. My limit for headset's would be $150

I'm gonna suggest an open back headphone like the Ad700x or Ad900x. The huge sound stage is better for gaming, with all around better sound quality and spatial reproduction. I've used a true 7.1 headset like the Razer Tiamat and I can say that a large sound stage is miles better than 7.1 setup. Soundcards are also a good way to reproduce surround sound in non surround sound headphones

I was just looking at these a minute ago, and I want to get them but I've heard that the 7.1 surround sound on them is shit 🙁
