Hi ya'll!
When it comes to wireless gaming headsets im absolutely green. Me and my partner have both had the HyperX Cloud II's for some years. Mine still works perfectly, but hers broke down a while back. Shes no audiophile but do appreciate good sound, and uses it for gaming, music and movies. As the awesome partner I am I sat down and tried to do some research to get her a really great gaming headset! After some reading and some youtube'ing the choice fell on the Steelseries Actis Pro wireless. But there was one problem! My partner got ADHD which means she really easily gets overwhelmed and pissed off specially when it comes to tech! The software and its million settings and just the fact that she would have to create an account proved too much! 7 months later it has never been used, and I fear for its life! Im thinking about getting her a different one, and I'll use the Steelseries.

Does anyone know of some great alternatives that are pretty much plug and play (just like the HyperX she had)? Software and account creation seem to trigger her into some sort of tech hate! I know Razer advertise their headsets to be plug and play but dont know if i truly trust them on that. Need something good that can be plugged in and ready to go. Really hoping someone out there got some great answers! Thanks!

Give her your HyperX Cloud II and get yourself whatever headset you would like. Keeping in mind what she likes or may like....

When her (originally yours) headset gives up the ghost then pass along your current headset.

That way, because you have "hands on" knowledge of any given headset she does not need to directly deal with technology. You simply fix or configure as appropriate for her headset needs/requirements.

Ad infinitum....

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Gaming headsets are like gaming chairs: a poorer version of the real deal made by manufacturers that are not good at it.

You are much better with headsets from companies who know how to make sound devices, like Sony, Bose and Sennheiser. I personally use the Sennheiser RS 175 RF and it's absolutely amazing. No settings required, it's just plug and play, the sound is awesome for both games and music and it's also Surround. A little expensive but it is worth it.

They usually go on sale during the latter half of the year. I got mine for $700.
