Hi all,

Just upgraded my rig so am looking to upgrade my keyboard and mouse to go along with it. Been doing a little research into this but am having trouble with the final step. Hoping if I post what I was thinking here someone can help me out.

Keyboards

After looking around I think I've got my choice down to either a Corsair K70 RGB with Cherry Red switches or one of the new Cherry MX 6.0 boards with Realkey. No other keyboard has realkey which technically makes the keyboard more responsive than anything else on the market? Not seen too many people with it though so wanted to see if anyone else had any opinion or experience with these two.

Mice

This is where things seem more complicated nowadays. After looking around I think I'm looking at the Logitech G502, G602 or a corsair one to go with the keyboard if I go for it, which means the M65 or the newer Sabre. (Additionally, how does the Sabre stack up against the Deathadder? I've had a deathadder in the past but want to stay away from Razer due to couple of headaches previously with different products).

Does anybody have any experience or advice regarding the mice noted above? Wondering how they compare.

Thanks for reading, please let me know if I can give any more info.

I bought a K70 RGB with the Cherry Red switches and a G502 Proteus Core just one week ago.

So far both are great and working without any issues. The keyboard response is very nice and i like the backlit.

The G502 is pretty nice. Got used to it very fast. Used a MX518 before. Without any weights the G502 is a little bit heavier than the MX518 but you wont notice a difference after a few hours/days of using it. The scrollwheel is kind of "special" id say it kind of feels like it isnt working properly but it is just fine. I probably just have to get used to a not abused scrollwheel. 😀

I can highly recommend both. :)

The K70 is a solid choice for a keyboard, and the m65 will go very nicely along with it. I don't think that response time will be an issue, so just stick with the traditional cherry mx key response times. That being said, if you think that you might have some issues during gaming, then just get the other one. Same goes for the mouse, It is a great mouse that has this really cool sniper button that decreases the dpi in order to make it easier to snipe. IMO, I would never have two different branded peripherals because of OCD, but if you believe that the deathadder will improve your gaming performance, go for it.
