gaming laptop and school laptop

i need a laptop that is good at running games, i would want at least a gtx 970m. But it also needs a 6+ hour batter life, just for school, no gaming will be done in that time i was look at this one http://www.xoticpc.com/gigabyte-p34wv3cf2-eta-late-december-p-7617.html budget is under $1900

Honestly if I had your budget I would get a inexpensive laptop and put the rest toward building a desktop, that way you get the best of both worlds. The thing about expensive laptops is that they depreciate extremely quickly in value and by the time you go to sell it, it won't be worth 1/4 of what you paid for it.
