my pick has better gaming while yours may run faster if your programming software can utilize hyperthreading. For small project, no obvious difference in programming/coding.

can you tell me why yours is better for gaming exactly? (sorry bad at this kind of stuff)

Most Games do not utilize hyperthreading and only use up to 4 cores. But gpu is usually limiting gaming performance with 1060 much better than 1050 in that regards for AAA titles.
