Hey guys,

This forum was great in providing support for my computer and now I have everything set up and I need a new monitor. I'm running the new gtx 680 and want to play on 1980 x 1080. I only play games on my comp, I don't watch TV and I want something that looks and plays super nice.

I also like glossy screens as I think they look just amazing. But I am open to both Matte and Glossy recommendations. I want to spend less than $400. Thanks for your input!

No, sir. If I were rich, I'd buy (x3) Dell U3011 at over $1200 a pop. Heck, as you probably know there are even more extreme options (i.e. 4k resolutions costing tens of thousands of dollars each).

I'll admit to being a resolution junkie however. At the price of these catleaps, its hard to go wrong! A GTX 680 SLi (assuming they are ever restocked) will reasonably handle most games I'm interested in at that resolution.

1250mhz sli gtx 680's on an i7 5ghz CPU barely run games at full detail on a 2560x1440 resolution. I know because that's what I have. Even a game like the new world of Warcraft expansion puts out 60-90fps when maxed out. Bf3 at 70-120fps. So triple monitor would be a terrible idea....

As for anyone interested in a 120hz version of the yamakasi catleap, it will be available as a limited production run on 120hz.net

Old thread, but anyways... 120hz can be done to non-"2b" catleap models. Scribby is selling the PCB mod kit for a couple hundred. I'll probably be doing the modification soon myself.
