If the plan is to try and run games on both monitors (Eyefinity), settings are going to have to be low to get a decent frame rate.
To run games on one and then other applications on the other would be fine.
If it is primarily for games, you could consider a single 27 inch 2560x1440 monitor instead.
For responsive monitors with a high refresh rate, the BenQ gaming monitors are good, e.g. XL2411Z, XL2430T.
If you do more colour critical work, than IPS is better but they are not as responsive, e.g. Dell U2414H.
Jumping up to 27 inches, the Asus ROG PG278Q is the best high refresh rate monitor you can get.
The BenQ BL3200PT is a better option if you want accurate vivid colour and deep blacks.
