Hi guys, I know nothing about monitors and I currently have an old samsung 1080p 5ms 60hz display.

I'm looking for a good gaming monitor in the range of 300-400 canadian $ . So about 300$ usd max.

Upgrading to a 1080p@144Hz is your best bet.

The XF240H is pretty solid, but you need to do some calibrating out of the box to get it right.
