So I bought this cheap gaming mouse from amazon and it had great reviews and I agree for £10 it's a bargain but for me I've come across a problem.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/TeckNet-Precision-Gaming-Button-weight/dp/B00E290JRE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427311790&sr=8-1&keywords=gaming+mouse

Right now I'm buying parts for a PC I'm building in early April and once this builds done I plan on gaming a lot especially CS:GO.

Played some CSGO last night and with this new mouse I can't lift off the mat without it moving the mouse cursor (so it still moves the mouse when its off the mat for a good period of time)

Which turns out to be a big problem for me as I play on a low sensitivity and need to lift the mouse off the mat to recenter it when playing CSGO. This problem literally drove me insane last night. I have never been able so far to lift the mouse off the mat without moving the cursor.

Spoke to my brother and asked him about his razer mouse and he says he doesn't have this problem because 1. Its razer 2. He can determine the lift off distance thing with the razer software he has!!

So really I'm asking should I return the mouse for a replacement which I think I will have the same problem or should I return the mouse and try to find some other (hopefully cheap) mouse that doesn't have this problem?

I hope the problem makes sense because it certainly isn't right.

What I am saying is I don't know what your needs are, you do. If you need a 6D mouse get a high quality one. Honestly its not something I see mentioned often. I can't say it is a niche market because i've never looked into this type of mouse.

A 6D mouse you pick it up and lean it around to move (roll/pitch/yaw built in). It may be possible to disable that in your mouse software if you don't need it. I just assumed you did since you brought it up and admittedly I didn't realize it was this type. You said the Razor mouse has some form of height adjustment before the 6D control kicks in. This seems to be the ideal feature for you since you play at a low sensitivity and im assuming you also need the 6D control for something else.
That is weird. I use this mouse: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CBQO930

It is cheap (on sale atm as well) and I have been using it for almost 2 years heavily with minimal wear on the mouse. I also saves all your settings on the mouse and you can turn off the lighting if you like.

I know what you mean by picking up the mouse to recenter and I have no issues doing that with this mouse. The distance where it stops tracking appears to be only 2mm - 5mm I've had a lot of issues with cheap mice (usually terribly broken scroll wheels) but I have to say this Anker mouse has held up surprisingly well for such a cheap mouse.

It may be an issue with the sensor in your mouse since it seems to use something called a " Blue Wave" sensor, whatever that means. Perhaps its designed like that so it tracks properly on more surface types?

It says its a 6D gaming mouse whatever that means. So are you saying that you can 100% lift the mouse off the mat without that causing the cursor to move?

Ah I see that. That is your problem then it would seem. It is designed to move when you pick it up. If you need that functionality I would go with a high quality mouse that has it instead of a $10 one that has every feature under the sun (point being quality will be extremely low).

So yea you would want to go with a Razor if possible and you are sure it works the way you want, or other high quality mouse with 6D functionality. Might want to get some feedback from other users of the mouse to see if there is a way to fix your current one or talk to people who use one you are interested in. Personally i've never used a 6D mouse as I've never had any real use for it.

err could you dumb it down a bit so is 6D a good or bad thing for my needs? or are you saying my mouse just has a bad 6D feature :s

I didn't know what this 6D crap was till now... looks like this is the anti fps mouse for me.. the mouse has no software you just plug it in and play so yeahhh... so what you're saying is I need to buy an optical mouse that has no 6D feature? thats the only problem?
