Gaming mouse

I'm looking for a good mouse for games(mainly fps), when I say good, I don't mean features added but rather its precision, no acceleration, etc.

But its from 2007. Is there a more recent review like this? I ask here because I'm on my phone (internet is off atm). I know the deathadder is one of the best @ 1800 dpi with tracking and what not but I don't like the feel of the mouse in my hand.

Thnx in advance, ill try and post to any replies as often I can. My current mouse is a CM inferno and can't find anything like the above on it.

i use a lachesis by razer, its a awkard fit at first being a ambidextris mouse, but with any mouse you have to get used to the feel, my favourite by far i have used is the razer mamba.

but personal experience, i like optical mice instead of laser for FPS. just feels more precise to me

I use a RAT5 I like the feel as its extendable so you can fit it to your hand and weightable to you can alter its weight. I've had no issue with mine but there have been reports of hit and miss quality control.

I use a RAT5 I like the feel as its extendable so you can fit it to your hand and weightable to you can alter its weight. I've had no issue with mine but there have been reports of hit and miss quality control.

I have never used the RAT series mice before, but they do look nifty. having worked in a computer shop, that is the only mouse that i ever had people return because they just dont like the feel. I think its a cool design, but would want to stick with my razer

rat 7 here... had to replace it within a week but the replacement is faultless.
dont be fooled by ultra high dpi as there just not needed they will give less prediction at higher settings so will be less intrusive even at lower settings.
anything between 1800 ans 2400 is enough with a poll rate of 500-1000ms
try to find a mouse that will match your monitors ratio. ie has a separate setting for x and y.
also try to get a mouse that has true 0 acceleration razer lachesis for instance has positive acceleration when its enabled and negative acceleration when its disabled. this is not good for a gaming mouse and is the reason i replaced mine. that and the mmb stopped working.
recommendations. corsair m90, rat 5/7 contagion/infection(although all suffer a minor pte bug), logitech m400 are all good mice.

I think the RAT depends on how you hold your mouse perfect for me as I have a big bear paw hand and I tend to rest my palm on the mouse and I can comfortably use it and easily operate all the buttons. If I try to "claw" grip it I can see how it would not be so great.

i think the only reason i like the lachesis is because it is long, all my friends and girlfriend hate using it, lol.

but i have had no issue with it for games, it is harder to use for fps games for sure, most of the time i avoid being a sniper due to the crazy slow down when going from hip to sight aim.

but i could always just settle for old school optical mice, ever since i got laser mice i never got used to it, k/d ratio is horrid now, haha... or im just getting old and arthritis is kicking in

i really like my rat5. havent had any issues at all with it.

i like it because you can change the length of it quite easily so it fits the hand well.


easy to adjust the speed of the mouse with software that comes with it (or with button on mouse)
