Gaming on tv

I sold my monitor and bought a 4k TV with hdr as I bought the xbox one x but I am missing my pc so I linked it up to the TV and trying to game sitting directly in front of a 40inch tv is impossible so is there any way I can change it so when I play games it would only use less of the screen any help would be great

Frankly, a 40-inch screen for a computer desk setup is way over the top in my opinion.

Get a wireless/bluetooth keyboard & mouse so you can sit further away from the screen?
