No. This is your motherboard model number: Dell 0D28YY

Motherboard BIOS information: No. There is no BIOS update that allows you to use a third generation processor. Yes. A failed BIOS update can potentially brick your computer.

You need to be sure you're reading my reply completely. If that MSI GTX 1050Ti Low Profile card does not come with a low-profile bracket, there is no way to secure it in your computer.

I do not want to brick it for sure. Okay since there is no upgrade to 3rd gen https://www.ebay.com/itm/333246379704?ul_noapp=true <--- what about that cpu? Wouldn't that be a pretty good upgrade to my i5 2400. It's a 2nd gen cpu with 3.4 clock speed.
Replacing the cpu isn't hard right? Do I have to apply cooling gel to it or something? Please let me know and thanks.
regarding the 1050 the person selling it said that it comes with the low profile bracket.
P.S. I try to read your comments completely but if ever I am super wrong call me out on it :)

Please just measure the width of your case. If it's less than 5.5 inches, it's SFF and you'll need a low profile graphics card.

A low profile graphics cards are wicked expensive, so you really only want to buy one if it's ABSOLUTELY necessary.

If a graphics card requires PCIe power connectors, it's going to be too much for your PSU.

Getting a new CPU for this system isn't worthwhile unless it's an i7. And even then you need to be careful how much you're paying for an 8.5 year old CPU. Furthermore, if you have no intent to upgrade your monitor, your current CPU will do just fine.

I guess wolf is on vacation lol. I will be buying either the 1030 lp or maybe the 730 not sure. Would the 2550k cpu be a good upgrade to my current one? Also what cooling agent should I buy to place on the cpu? I don't want it to burn up.
