Hey guys I'm looking to build a gaming PC. Never built one before but I'm sure ill be fine.
I was planning on using a Intel Core i7 4770K for CPU and Radeon R9 290 Gaming 4GB for the GPU but I'm unsure about the rest.
Please let me know if this combination sucks. I don't want to have to upgrade anytime soon after this build
Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP
Budget Range: Rougly $2000 AUS but hopefully cheaper
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (mainly Battlefield), streaming movies, web
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: I have nothing
Do you need to buy OS: yes
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any
Location: Australia/ Victoria/ Geelong
Parts Preferences: Anything that is good and will last
Overclocking: Maybe if i need to (never messed around with OC before)
SLI or Crossfire: If its a cheaper better option
Your Monitor Resolution: Probably 1920x1080 but i would like the option to go a bit bigger
Additional Comments:
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: The laptop just dosen't cut it anymore
