Hey everyone,
I'm a complete newbie to building desktops. But I did research and I came up with the parts I'm going to use to build.

CPU: Intel i5 4690k
GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 970 G1 4GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H
RAM: G.SKill RipjawsX (2 x 4GB) 1600MHz
SSD/HDD: Samsung 850 Pro (128 GB)/Seagate 3.5' 1 TB
PSU: EVGA SuperNova 850 G2 Gold
Cooling: Noctua NH-U14S
Optical Drive: Pioneer Internal Blu-ray Combo
OS: Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
Case: Corsair Obsidian 450D
Add-on: Corsair Air AF140 140mm (x2)

Questions:
1) Is this build alright in terms of bottlenecking etc or should I change any part to avoid it.
2) Is the PSU alright or should I change it. (BTW how do you decide if the PSU is enough).
3) Overall, if any parts such as cooling, ram etc..should be changed please advice.

I'm going to be using this system for gaming, video editing, research etc..,also I won't be upgrading it for 3-4 years unless if something wears out. (This excludes the CPU)

Regards
Newbie

PSU is one of the best quality on the market. It's SLI and overclocking ready.
I would change to a Crucial MX100 256GB so you can get more storage for little bit less $$$
Also, the i7 4790K will be better at editing than the 4690K.Change it if you have enough money,if not, stick with the 4690K.
I don't see any other flaws.
BTW Did you mean Gigabyte Z77 or Z97 UD5H?

Sorry, it is the Z97...I edited my build.

Thnx mate but one more thing in terms of system specs, will there be a bottleneck issue, as I was worried I won't be getting most of what my system can do...?
