Hi,

I'm in the process of building a new gaining PC and only have a GPU/PSU left to purchase. I play in 1440p @165hz and possibly 4k in the future. I play a range of games from completive shooters to AAA games. I have a budget of around £800 - £900 for a GPU/PSU combo. From what I've seen it seems the 9070XT is the best card for the budget, however, I'm also a little unsure of what make to get (if it is the best card for the budget).

I've seen online some concern about the Nitro +'s 16pin power connector but also other people saying it wouldn't be a problem due to the lower power draw compared to the Nvidia cards. Would it be wise to look for a different model of the 907XT or is the connection blown out of proportion?

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Yes.

The first part, that remains to be seen but you can rest assured it's not going to draw power like the RTX5080/5090 did or the high end cards from the 4000 series by Nvidia the generation prior.

^ get this in place of the unit listed in your PCPP listing;

On that note, you can look at the Pure range of GPU's from Sapphire;

the Pure and Pulse series uses 2x8pin PCIe connectors. Both for the non-XT and XT variants. The Nitro+ is the series that has a 12V-2x6 connection for the non-XT and XT variants.
