I'm looking for a PC build for absolutely no more than $900. The build will need to include an optical drive, an OS, possibly an SSD, and possibly a Monitor that is bigger than 20".
In the order that I will be using the PC is: Gaming, Youtube/Surfing the web, and school.
Thanks for all the help in advance and I really appreciate this.

***EDIT*** I also prefer AMD over Intel.

I know you wanted AMD but an i5 will outperform ALL AMD offerings in gaming.
Plus it offers better upgradability.

I'm at quite the conundrum right here. Snow's Build includes everything that I asked for but, the SSD is smaller and the card isn't as good as ykkl's 290. Decisions...Decisions...

LOL I forgot the OS!
Any way if you want an os I suggest you go for his build.
But this is a wild card entry
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/preview-iso
You can ask your friend/family to download it and then you can install it with a usb stick.
Just a suggestion = win 10 isn't stable as 7/8.1. You are welcome to go for win 10 if you like to live a little dangerously.
you can also go with this

Yikkl's build may have a better GPU, but later on if you choose to go for a bigger PSU you can buy another 280X to use in cross fire. The size of the SSD really doesn't matter either, at the most you will store your OS and a couple of games on it.

Everything in this build is ok except that coolmax psu.
Would not trust a system with that.
