I'm new here so sorry up front if I didn't follow protocol. I was hoping to get some advice from people with more experience in these things. This computer will be used equally for gaming and for photo editing as well as some video editing. My main concern is I don't have much knowledge with motherboards and what makes a good one or not as the prices vary greatly. I also am not sure if it is worth getting two video cards or not. I read that the 6950 can be turned into a 6970 through firmware so two of these in crossfire should give me some longevity I think. I chose the i7 because I do a lot of photo editing and the extra speed should help a lot when editing a lot of photos in a row. I was hoping for some help on my choices and what else I need to make this a complete build. The items I have picked out come in at $1470 after rebates. I have 4 1TB HDD in my drobo that I plan on putting in the desktop so I don't need any of those.
