Hi! I have been out of the computer gaming world for over a decade and the number of options available are a little overwelming. I want to start playing again with some friends and was wondering if you could help me with a good setup. I would like to stay under two grand for the tower plus monitor.

I was told I need at least 16gb ram, the best video card within the budget and a fast monitor. Liquid cooler and one of those new solid state hard drives would be nice. Advice on the OS and monitor would be nice too. Im guessing I'll be playing FPS games mainly. This PC will be used solely for gaming.

If I have to go a little over budget for a big improvement im okay with that. To be honest I have no idea about how much a PC would cost so all help is appreciated, I just dont wanna give those other guys any advantage lol.

(http://pcpartpicker.com/p/D9tfkL) $2000 without monitors, but you can run 4K maxed out besides maybe crisis 3 but that would be high. So this is really over kill and I think the CPU would need to be replaced before the GPU.

I will look at it thanks!

Thans one of the games I'll be playing, Crysis 3. Is $2,000 too low of a budget for that?

That configurarion looks awesome! Thanks!

I read a little on 4k and it seems cool but too new for my taste. As long as there is no lag im okay with the configurarion.

Actually for gaming that's not a good build overpriced for the performance.
Their no need to get a i7 for gaming, 16GB of memory is wasting 8GB worth of money, overpriced motherboard. Same thing with the OS their absolutely no reason to get Ultima.
Blu-ray is wasting money.

Zerk's build is good, but personally I would get 1600 RAM, not 1866. You won't notice the difference if you keep the CAS latency the same, or nearly the same. Shoot for 9 or under.
